Job Title: Brownfield Superintendent – Instrumentation & Control

Missions

  • Responsible for the daily operations of construction site from planning projects phases to overseeing their completion.
  • Tasks scheduling according to a strict timeline, conducting audits and checks to ensure that work corresponds to engineering drawings or client requests, and monitoring safety and compliance.
  • Experienced and construction field both Green and Brown.
  • Must be professional and communicate effectively with others subcontractors / vendors.
  • Very familiar with the operation of construction tools and machinery.
  • The job may include traveling to different work sites and working in various climate conditions.
  • Ability to dismantle and Reassemble Instrumentation Equipment Identifying potential sources of hazard prior to dismantling.
  • Carry out the correct isolation and disconnection procedure; Identifying, checking and preparing components.
  • Apply appropriate tests and test equipment to ensure reassembly is correct and effective.
  • Assist in the selection and requisition of appropriate and correct materials
  • Analyze and diagnose possible communication problems, Execute the control modifications and/or corrective actions for Alarm labels, wrong animations etc.
  • Logic change on special working points.
  • Scale and threshold check, possible corrective actions.
  • Analyze and diagnose possible automation working problems.
  • Execute program modifications required by Client.
  • Realize controller and automaton programs backups.
  • Keep up to date DCS documents and diagram.

Profile

  • Expert knowledge of Foxboro DCS experience in PLC, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Ladder logic system etc; plus related communication.
  • 10 – 12 years’ experience in construction field with good knowledge of Human Machine interface (HMI) – and all machine monitoring system (Bentley Nevada) including GE systems 1.
  • Experience in aging/Brownfield Refinery or petro-chemical asset is a must.
  • Documented training in instrumentation and controls.
  • Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, Maximo.
  • PLC: Rockwell , Siemens , Mitsubishi, Schneider.
  • DCS: Siemens PCS 7, Including F&G and ESD Systems.
  • OTS: Operator Training Simulator (Siemens).

Candidate criteria:
Minimum level of experience required

  • 6 years or more

Required authorisations:

  • Required Disciplines: Electrical Engineering & Instrumentation
  • Required Course of Study: Bachelors of Engineering.
  • Required Certificate: B.Sc. / B.Eng.

Languages:

  • English (C-Professional working proficiency).
