The elections in the two states are slated for September 21 and November 16, respectively.
Ad hoc staff includes supervisory presiding officers (SPOs), presiding officers (POs), assistant presiding officers (APOS), RAC managers, and registration area technicians (RATECHs).
In a notice on Sunday, the commission said the portal opens for applications on July 15 and closes at 12am on August 19, 2024.
“Applications are invited from qualified candidates to serve as ad hoc staff for the Edo and Ondo governorship elections in the following categories: supervisory presiding officers (SPOs), presiding officers (POs), assistant presiding officers (APOS), RAC managers, and registration area technicians (RATECHs),” the notice reads.
Method of online application – the Web version (using a laptop, desktop, or cybercafé) shall be accessible via the portal: pres.inecnigeria.org.
The android mobile app (android users only) shall be accessible via the link: inecpres-app.com.
“Applicants must not be political party members, applicants must not have demonstrated or expressed support for any candidate or party. Applicants must reside in the state selected except for RATECHS.”
