We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Lead Counsel, Corporate Litigation
Location: Nigeria
Job Objectives
- Liaise with agencies such as the EFCC, ICPC, DSS, and the Nigeria Police to ensure the protection of NNPC’s interest and guide staff on engagements with the Agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with agencies such as the EFCC, ICPC, DSS, and the Nigeria Police in matters involving NNPC.
- Provide guidance to staff on engagements with the Agencies.
- Keep proper records of all investigations and engagements with the Agencies.
- Monitor progress and update of Sensitive cases.
- Handle cases identified for settlement.
Educational Qualification
- A University Degree in Law; Barrister at Law (BL) qualification is a must
- Professional qualification and membership of relevant professional body is required e.g. NBA.
Experience:
- Minimum of 9 years relevant post qualification experience.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry will be an added advantage.
Competence:
- Knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry regulations.
- Case management skills.
- Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution skills.
- Legal drafting skills.
- Legal case handling, analytics, and advisory skills.
- Legislation interpretation skills.
- Oil and Gas industry Knowledge.
