We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Lead, Central Workshop Engineer

Location: Nigeria
Department: Gen Engineering

Objectives

  • To ensure efficient organization, coordination, and supervision of all machining works assigned to the unit
  • To assist the execution of machining, preventive and corrective maintenance jobs precipitated during process plant operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervision of Machining jobs assigned to the unit, including utilization of available human and material resources and prioritization of work.
  • Assist in the proper documentation of Machining activities/Assist in the review and compilation of maintenance budget estimates.
  • Liaise to ensure the availability of critical materials and spare parts for scheduled maintenance work.
  • Assist in the investigation of the nature and cause of failures for fabricated equipment as assigned.
  • Review work scope for corrective maintenance Machining works/ Supervise assigned third party corrective maintenance contractors.
  • Assist in making necessary arrangements to ensure that approved operating procedures, standards and safety requirements are met / Ensure optimal use of Manpower and spare parts.
  • Provide timely and quality reports on the activities of the unit to Deputy Manager, Maintenance.

Educational Qualification

  • First Degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional qualification, certification or membership of relevant professional bodies e.g. Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering (NATE), Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NSCE) or Council for Regulation of Engineers in Nigeria (COREN)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 9 years relevant post qualification experience. Experience in the oil and gas industry will be an added advantage.

Competence:

  • Knowledge of communications systems
  • Engineering design skill
  • Knowledge of Maintenance policies and procedures
  • Hazard analysis skill
  • Systems engineering Awareness
  • Awareness of Information technology required for distributed control and automation components
  • Oil and Gas Industry Knowledge
