We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Lead, Data Center & Tech Infrastructure
Location: Nigeria
Objectives
- Assist Ops to provide assurance on the availability of the Datacentre supporting infrastructure (Power, Cooling, Fire Suppression, Humidity control systems).
- Ensure the provisioning & maintenance of compute & storage resources required to host applications and other information systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the proper direction for future network technology solutions, and/or assist NUIMS to design and develop solutions.
- Identify opportunities to lower cost, improve service levels, and enable new services.
- Maintain the file and print servers.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of Windows 2008/2012 Active Directory security.
- Continuously maintain and assess the quality and reliability of existing network infrastructures and network components that comprise the Office Local Technology and make recommendations for upgrade or replacement.
- Provide the 2nd level of support for basic office IT infrastructure.
- Escalates any unresolved issues to the vendor of the IT infrastructure within the agreed SLA between NUIMS and such vendors.
- Perform configuration of all types of Cisco networking equipment.
- Perform all aspects of Microsoft Exchange administration.
- Perform general network administration in a multiplatform environment including, but not limited to, user & group management, network file shares, patch management, service/support pack management, DHCP, DNS, NDS, and Active Directory and other technologies for on-line user collaboration.
- Provide timely and quality reports on the activities of the Unit to Supervisor, Networks.
Educational Qualifications
- Degree in Electronics / IT, Computer Science or any related field
- Relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage
Experience:
- Minimum of 9 years relevant post qualification experience
- Experience in the oil and gas industry will be an added advantage.
Competence:
- Skilled in Network Infrastructure Management
- Knowledge of Network Design and Configuration
- Knowledge of Network support and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Network/System performance reporting
- Knowledge of Active Directory Design and Administration
- Results Oriented Skill
