Job Title: Lead, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

Locations: Nigeria

Objective

  • To supervise Electrical & Instrumentation Equipment in the process plants and PPU.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proffer solutions to problems using engineering argument/judgement.
  • Supervise electrical & Instrumentation Projects.
  • Prepare valuation certificate for on-going or completed Projects.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems and evaluate each systems reliability.
  • Prepare technical specifications/bid document, provide project cost estimates in line with budget provision.
  • Implement schedule of electrical and instrumentation plant equipment monitoring.
  • Ensure Implementation of new/revised strategic policies, plant monitoring procedures and HSE compliance.
  • Participate in electrical and instrumentation equipment troubleshooting and testing.
  • Participate in specification development, testing and commissioning of rehab/new electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Evaluate proposals, identify areas of improvement in electrical and instrumentation plant facilities.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports on the activities of the unit to Deputy Manager Engineering Management.

Educational Qualifications

  • First Degree or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional qualification, certification or membership of relevant professional bodies e.g. Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering (NATE), Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NSCE) or Council for Regulation of Engineers in Nigeria (COREN)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 9 years relevant post qualification experience. Experience in the oil and gas industry will be an added advantage.

Competence:

  • Knowledge in Electrical & Instrumentation Standards and Specification
  • Skilled in Electrical & Instrumentation Proposals & Project Development
  • Knowledge of Electrical & Instrumentation Equipment List
  • Skilled in Electrical & Instrumentation Equipment Engineering
  • Knowledge in Electrical, Process Control & Instrument Safety Systems
  • Skilled in Instrument Loop Troubleshooting Techniques and Documentation
  • Skilled in Project Management
  • Cost Estimation/statistical skills
  • Oil and Gas Industry Knowledge.
