We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Lead, Investment Advisor – Joint Venture Asset A4 Surface OPS
Location: Nigeria
Department: Petroleum Engineering
Objectives
- Manage Surface activities to ensure high availability of JV facilities
Key Responsibilities
- To oversee all facilities management activities and ensure availability and integrity of all facilities assets
- Analyse well operations reports to ensure the wells accurately reflect the operations and down-hole configurations in line with requisite HSSE standards
- Monitor and analyze production and storage facilities operations report to ensure optimal utilization and maintenance of operational integrity
- Perform operational reporting to meet regulatory requirements
- Record, monitor, submit and perform quality checks on data
- Review and advise Operator on the most optimal facilities maintenance philosophy
- Monitor information contained on the drilling system and regulatory systems to ensure alignment with information on the wells and facilities asset management system
- Identify opportunities for production and storage facilities optimization, upgrade and enhanced capacity utilization
- Liaise with government agencies, partners and internal staff regarding operational reporting and data sharing issues
- Ensure well, production and storage facilities and HSSE-related information is received from Operators within expected timelines
- Generate reports and information from the wells and production and storage facilities asset management system to support business decision-making
- Handle the operational reporting requirements for well tests taken during completion, re-completion, work-over and production
- Provide timely and regular reports on the activities of the Surface Operations Unit to the Asset Manager
- Ensure the capacity development of direct reports, through coaching and other learning methods, for career growth, optimal productivity and performance
- Provide regular, formal and informal feedback on identified gaps of direct reports’ performance and recommend appropriate solutions
- Any other related work as may be assigned by the Asset Manager
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline
- Master’s Degree is an added advantage
- Professional qualification, certification and membership of at least one relevant professional body, e.g. SPE, COREN, NSE, etc.
Experience:
- Minimum of 9 years relevant post qualification experience
- Experience in the oil and gas industry will be an added advantage
Competence:
- Mastery in well operations
- Production and Reservoir Engineering skills
- Mastery of well Engineering
- Knowledge of oil and gas processing and gathering facilities
- Monitoring and evaluation skills
- Instrumentation and Controls Engineering skills
- Knowledge of upstream technology
- Knowledge of industry regulations, legislations and operating environment
- Project management skills
