Job Title: Lead Testing & Inspection Officer (Electrical)
Location: Nigeria
Department: Gen Engineering
Objectives
- To ensure electrical equipment are in good working condition as per set standards.
- To ensure compliance with relevant standards to avert any failure that could lead to loss of life and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out technical inspection and testing services on refinery electrical materials to ensure compliance with set standards and operating parameters to achieve functional equipment.
- Monitor and maintain schedule of inspection and testing of electrical equipment and other installations for integrity and performance assessment and advice.
- Provide inputs to develop Scopes, Estimates and Schedules for projects or contracts.
- Advice on company compliance with regulatory specifications, standards, practices and legislation.
- Provide inputs to data base of inspection and testing records of equipment and installations.
- Comply with the schedule of inspection and testing of installations and maintain records of results and actions taken.
- Assist to determine material specification for new installations and materials for repairs, replacement or fabrication of parts, vessels or pipes.
- Monitor compliance with HSE policies, regulations, procedures and practices in-house and by contractors in their service delivery.
- Ensure the capacity development of direct reports through coaching and other learning methods for career growth, optimal productivity and performance.
- Provide regular formal and informal feedback on identified performance gaps of direct reports and proffer appropriate solutions.
- Provide timely and quality reports on the activities of the unit to Deputy Manager Maintenance.
Educational Qualification
- A Degree or its equivalent in Engineering (Electrical)
- Membership of at least one relevant professional body e.g: NSE, COREN, etc.
Experience:
- Minimum of 9 years relevant post qualification experience. Experience in the oil and gas industry will be an added advantage.
- Age Limit: 37 years
