Job Description
- We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Tyre Retreading Officer to join our team at Dangote Cement Transport.
- As a Tyre Retreading Officer, you will be responsible for retreading and repairing tyres to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of our fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and assess the condition of tyres to determine the best retreading process.
- Perform retreading and repair operations on tyres using specialized equipment and tools.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures during all retreading processes.
- Monitor the quality of retreaded tyres to meet the company’s standards.
- Maintain accurate records of retreading and repair work performed.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify tyre-related issues and provide effective solutions.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in tyre retreading technology.
Requirements
- HND, OND or Trade certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tyre Retreading Officer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of tyre retreading techniques and processes.
- Experience in using tyre retreading equipment and tools.
- Good understanding of tyre types, sizes, and tread patterns.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
