A student visa for Spain, known as a Type D visa, is required for non-EU/EEA citizens who plan to study in Spain for more than 90 days. This visa is essential if you are enrolling in a full-time course, exchange program, or other educational activities.
Receive an Acceptance Letter
- You must first be accepted into a recognized educational institution in Spain. The school or university will provide you with an official acceptance letter, which is necessary for your visa application.
Determine the Type of Visa
- Short-term Student Visa (less than 6 months): For courses lasting up to 180 days. This visa does not allow extensions or the right to work.
- Long-term Student Visa (more than 6 months): For courses lasting longer than 180 days. This visa allows for extensions and may include the right to work part-time.
