Description

  • As the Manager, Mines, you will be responsible for supporting the mining operations.
  • This includes managing the extraction, processing, and transportation of raw materials required for cement production.
  • Your role will be crucial in ensuring the steady supply of materials to meet production demands and maintain the Group’s market leadership in the cement industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize mining operations, including safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee the planning and scheduling of mining activities to ensure consistent material supply.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as Production and Logistics, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Manage a team of mining engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Regularly inspect mining equipment and processes to identify potential issues and implement necessary maintenance or repairs.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency and implement improvements as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and best practices in mining operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years experience in mining operations, preferably in the cement industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mining practices, including extraction techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
