Job Title: Fitter
Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for Maintenance of CCM equipment.
- Responsible for Maintenance and troubleshooting of the CCM panels.
- Responsible for proper maintenance of Auto Cutter, Auto Level Controller, pusher and cooling Bed, and other CCM equipment.
- Responsible for maintenance of foot roller & secondary nozzles.
- Responsible for writing daily reports in the section’s daily reportbook.
- Responsible for carrying out troubleshooting and affect repairs on all types of CCM equipment.
- Respect the good housekeeping and keep all access areas clear.
- Respect the safety rules and regulations.
- Ensure all people use PPE and work safety
- Ensure that workers under your supervision comply with PPE usage.
- Ensure that workers working with you observe the stipulated SOP.
- Attend meetings of safety committees.
- Report unsafe acts and unsafe conditions that have the potential to cause harm, injury, and illness.
- Participate in accident investigation as may be required.
- Identify potential hazards, risks, and dangers
- Make recommendations regarding health and safety
- Advise the committee and the employer
- Inspect any document related to health and safety matters
Requirements
- Diploma / ITI in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
- 2-3+ years experience in Steel Plants
- Experience in Continuous Caster Machine (CCM)
- Good Technical knowledge
- Mechanical and Electrical maintenance
- Troubleshooting skills and problem solving techniques on equipment.
